The Task: Preview a Floor Plan Without Understanding Architectural Drawings
Architectural drawings can be difficult for clients to visualize. Is there a way to visualize their spaces without paying the higher costs of VR?
The Solution: The Structural Walkthrough
Clients typically ask us for a “VR” to supplement their architectural drawings but the time and costs to create that experience is usually out of the budget. The 3DAS structural walkthrough delivers the experience of understanding their space without the time and cost to choose specific furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE).
The Pseudo Virtual Tour
Once the client has decided on all the FFE through our 3D rendering process, we can enhance their client experience with pseudo virtual tours. These virtual tours (VT) are more affordable than virtual reality (VR) and can be seen on smartphones, laptops and almost any other types of devices.
By having the client and interior designers walk through the space with only seeing the essential elements (a structural walkthrough), it removed all the barriers of a typical “VR” environment. In turn, the interior designers could choose which views they preferred in the final marketing renderings. During the process, if there was any part that was unclear, a designer could easily walk through the space, take a snapshot and send comments back to other team members.
Below are the final marketing renderings along with the finished renovation photos. As you can see, the renderings are similar due to our 3D process along with the structural walk-through system.
